We are thrilled and honoured to be included in this fantastic article by Matthew Hague in the Globe and Mail on August 24, 2019!

The article starts with Matthew's interview with Danny on why we think smaller homes could make us happier and we talked about why we rebranded from CHAN + DEE DESIGNS to Happy Home Design so we can focus on helping people love their smaller homes. The goal is to help clients make better use of what they have instead of “chasing the illusion that bigger is better,” he says. “I’m trying to get people to think about the quality of their lives, not the quantity.”

California Closet custom built wall unit

We collaborated with California Closet for our clients who were downsizing from a 5,000 s.f. house in West Vancouver to a 1,200 s.f. apartment in downtown. 

Of distinct importance, we wanted to showcase their figurines, books, and other special items while minimizing the clutter.
